Eight dinghies turned-out Tuesday, May 25th for their first evening of races of the season. The fleet included five 14’ Topaz dinghies (rented from Colorado Watersports), one 14’ Laser, one 12’ Holder, and one 14.5’ Weta Trimaran. By winning 3 out of 4 races for the evening, the corrected time winner for the evening was Robyn Kline on a Topaz. Volunteer Race Committee for the evening was Dean Lenz and Robert Kline.
Dinghy races will continue Tuesday evenings in Roxborough Cove for the Spring Season through June 29th, with the Summer Season running July 13th through August 31st. Evening races begin at 6:00PM and conclude by 7:30PM, allowing racers to derig and socialize before nightfall.
Racers may bring their own boat, park, and launch from the Plum Creek Parking Lot, or secure a Topaz rental, in advance, from Colorado Watersports at the waterfront. 12’ Butterfly scows may also be borrowed from the storage lot through Robert Kline.
