Ken Ross is in the process of forming a Flying Scot racing fleet for CSYC. We currently have six Flying Scots in the area. The goal is to have at least three Flying Scots on the starting line each race night so we can have our own starts and our own official sanctioned “fleet”.

If you have never seen or sailed a Flying Scot take a look at this video link –
It is a multipurpose sailboat. You can sail it socially with four people and be very comfortable. It has more cockpit area than a J22.
On the other hand, if you want to race it there are regattas all over North America where it is raced competitively. Typically it is crewed with two or three people when racing and is a lot of fun to sail. For those of you new to sailing it is really hard to capsize it.
Here is a great YouTube Video of Ken and crew racing his Flying Scot at Chatfield – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbU5ILuEBTQ&feature=youtu.be
Over 6300 Flying Scots have been built over the last 60 years. There is very strong camaraderie amongst Flying Scot sailors and a strong well supported national organization. Here are links to the Flying Scot Sailing Association-
