CSYC COVID Procedures
For CSYC, it is our primary responsibility to ensure the health and safety of our members and guests during these times of the COVID-19 pandemic. These procedures are based on the directives and guidelines from the state of Colorado. See https://covid19.colorado.gov/safer-at-home
Number one rule is DO NOT COME to any CSYC event if you or any members of your household are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include, but are NOT limited to: Cough, Shortness of Breath or difficulty breathing, Fever (100.4°F+), Chills, Muscle pain, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. This list is not all possible symptoms. Other less common symptoms have been reported including gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. See the Center for Disease Control for current updates and further information.
If any participants develop COVID-19 symptoms after a CSYC event, they shall notify their skipper and the club, isolate themselves from other household members and call their medical provider.
For CSYC participants, the wearing of face masks on the marina’s docks are not required if you are able to maintain a six foot separation from others except for brief intervals.
CSYC recommended guidance for sailing is if all sailors are fully COVID vaccinated, then no face mask are required aboard. Otherwise, those who are not fully vaccinated must wear a face mask.
Skippers/boat owners have the final decision on the requirement for mask wearing when at their slip or on their boat.
